Welcome to this month's update of newly released features. This month, we shipped faster workflows, clearer revenue tracking, and smarter compliance tools. From bill rates to labor posters, July’s updates help staffing operators move faster, stay compliant, and track margins in real time. We introduced new UI features for payroll admins, shift-level revenue tracking for finance teams, and expanded filtering options to speed up everyday tasks.
Labor Posters - Now, as part of onboarding workers can see the required labor posters for the states they work and live in. Acknowledgement that they’ve been seen is required to proceed. This means onboarding can automatically include the required state-specific posters integrated into a unified onboarding flow — accelerating time to posting while staying compliant.
Filter Checks by Speed - Your team can now filter checks by speed in the Dashboard — giving payroll admins more visibility into standard vs. expedited payouts. The feature helps answer support questions around “where’s my money” and makes data around pay more easily accessible.
Improved Search - Several improvements went live to streamline admin workflows in the Dashboard. You can now use common sense search terms such as employee ID, first name, and last name — making it easier to find the right worker fast. We also improved performance on large worker lists to keep things moving smoothly, especially for teams handling high volumes.
Bill Rates on Shifts - We have introduced bill rate fields to shift-level data. Now you can enter either a flat dollar amount or a markup % on top of wages. This gives CFOs and ops teams a clear view of gross margin by shift — especially valuable in states where pricing transparency is being mandated. Coming soon: Bill rates will roll into invoicing, allowing users to automate invoice generation from shift data.
Preview Payroll API - Zeal’s Preview Checks API powers custom pay breakdowns before a job is even accepted. Workers can see their net pay, taxes, and potential overtime in advance — helping reduce dropoff and improve transparency. Learn more.
